Perinatal and Postpartum Support
Some of our therapists are certified in Perinatal Mental Health and can support you through more specific difficulties related to perinatal and postpartum mental health.
During pregnancy and birth, the primary questions are asked about the baby and the parents seldom get asked how they are. After birth, the primary focus turns to this newborn and parents may put their own needs aside and suffer with postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, and/or psychosis on their own. You do not have to suffer on your own. Through counseling, you can have someone who is there to support you through this period of adjustment/change and help you feel more grounded.
This area of focus also includes those who are having fertility difficulties, miscarriages and pregnancy losses, or traumatic births. Our therapists are trained to help support you and your grief and help navigate the complexity of emotions while finding a path towards healing.
