Teens

Being a teen is tough. I often tell my teens that if someone offered me a million dollars to relive those years, I'd walk away every time! Navigating adolescence is like walking a tightrope between childhood and adulthood. You're not just juggling school, sports, and social activities; you're also facing immense pressure to excel academically and manage all your commitments. It feels like constantly trying to keep your balance.

This balancing act extends to navigating friendships and relationships, which often feel like a rollercoaster ride fueled by constant comparisons to others. These comparisons can lead to feelings of inadequacy and isolation, making it seem like nobody truly understands you.

Furthermore, you may be experiencing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. Your mind feels off, and your body might be showing physical signs too, such as a fast heartbeat, sweating, or trouble sleeping, which make it hard to focus on daily tasks. Depression can feel like a heavy weight on your chest, draining joy from once-loved activities and leading to social withdrawal.

You do not have to face those difficulties alone. In counseling, my aim is to create a safe, trusting space where you can open up without fear of judgment. Together, we'll explore ways for you to navigate these feelings and thoughts, increasing your confidence in yourself and your relationships, and helping you figure out your path in life.

Adults

Adulting is no joke. Life's journey through adulthood can feel like navigating a winding path, with challenges like waves of anxiety and the heavy fog of depression. In those moments of doubt and uncertainty, the world dims around you, and the future feels masked in darkness. The voice of your inner critic becomes deafening, casting shadows of inadequacy and worthlessness.

In relationships, the desire for connection can get overshadowed by fears of rejection or abandonment, making it hard to navigate intimacy and vulnerability. Or maybe you just feel overwhelmed by all the roles in your life, like you've lost a piece of yourself in the shuffle.

If any of this resonates with you, know that you're not alone, and there's hope. In counseling, we can explore the depths of your thoughts and feelings, uncovering the roots of what brings you in. Through compassionate listening and gentle guidance, we'll develop coping strategies to navigate life's challenges with resilience. Together, we'll cultivate and strengthen a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, transform your inner critic into your biggest supporter, develop coping strategies, and most importantly, empower you to reclaim your life.

Perinatal Mental Health

The journey of parenthood looks different for everyone, with many ups, downs, and every emotion in between. From fertility difficulties to losses and grief, postpartum symptoms, and figuring out how to navigate the world as a parent, it can feel like you're carrying the world’s heaviest backpack while everyone around you goes about their life. This journey can bring thoughts and feelings of insecurity, making you feel like you're not good enough or that something is wrong with you.

From the very first step on this journey, I am here to walk with you, guiding you to see your worth and challenge those unhelpful thoughts. With my certification in perinatal mental health and a background in child development, combined with my compassion and passion for providing a safe, authentic, caring, and non-judgmental space, I can help lighten your load and travel this journey with you.

About My Style

In our work together, you are the expert in the room. You know you better than anyone else. My role will be to walk alongside you and support and guide you in the ways you need. I like to say that I am not a band-aid therapist. I am not going to slap a band-aid on an open wound and expect that things will heal properly. The healing process is hard, but we are going to go through it together. There will still be a scar, but it will just be a reminder of all the hard work and healing you did. I look forward to our journey together!
