Courtney is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the mental health field for five years. Her style is best described as empathic, open-minded, accepting, and warm. Courtney strives to provide a safe place for clients to feel heard and appreciated.
Teens
Courtney has worked with children from the ages of five to seventeen in school-based and outpatient office settings. She was also a part of a program that assisted at-risk adolescents. Courtney understands that being a teenager can be extremely difficult and she aims to be a safe adult to talk to. She takes a CBT and trauma-informed approach to assist clients with anything from anxiety, depression, self-esteem, peer-relationships, or daily issues at school or at home. She also understands the importance of family systems and will work with families to build a stronger relationship and open communication with each other.
Adults
Courtney utilizes a developmental approach to assist adults with understanding their current behaviors and emotions, and where they may stem from. She enjoys assisting clients with processing thoughts and feelings related to trauma, anger, anxiety, depression, co-parenting, and daily life stressors. Many adults often feel like they have no one to turn to when life gets difficult. Courtney strives to provide a non-judgmental place where everyone feels welcome to share whatever they need to.
